Lateral Investment Management, LLC ("Lateral") is an SEC-registered firm with approximately $650M in assets under management. Lateral, founded in 2014, specializes in alternative investments focused on the private markets. The firm provides growth capital to non-sponsored, lower-middle market companies through the direct origination of preferred equity stakes and loans.
Lateral focuses on partnering with successful business owners who have high conviction in their future growth and companies that have reached an inflection point where they need substantial capital and support to scale to the next level. We offer company founders and owners the support of an institutional investor without loss of control. Through Lateral's Panther Plus Fund Series, retail investors are able to invest with the same terms as institutional investors. The Panther Funds will invest in established companies, not start-ups, focusing on the manufacturing, infrastructure, technology, and business services industries throughout the United States.
